WHAT:

The Council Residential Districting Commission (CRDC) will release the final maps for public review and comment on Wednesday November 10, 2021, at 5:30p. The maps incorporate resident feedback received on previous versions of the maps and a robust public engagement process.

Residents are encouraged to view the presentation online at Facebook Live or City of Columbus' YouTube channel/.

To date, the CRDC has held a series of nine public outreach meetings, more than a dozen public working sessions and conducted an online survey that garnered thousands of results. All of the feedback gathered at these meetings, the survey and public comment on the first two drafts, inform the current maps.

The Commission will host a public hearing on Wednesday, December 8, where they will present these final maps to Council in detail and provide the public the opportunity to testify.

Council will receive public feedback on these maps, and approve one of the maps announced tonight during the December 13, 2021 Council meeting, with the districts will in place for the 2023 municipal election.
