Columbus Heat Mapping Volunteer Opportunity

The city and partners received funding from NOAA to map out the heat island of the Columbus area. Volunteers are needed to drive pre-determined routes on a date between Aug 5th-17th (actual date will be determined closer to the date). They will be given sensors to attach to their cars that capture heat and humidity data. Volunteers will be compensated for gas. The data will help focus the GreenSpot tree equity program (Community Backyards), help determined the city's climate resiliency centers, and dovetail off Recreation and Parks tree canopy study.
