July/August Community Events

This summer, the people of northwest Columbus have an opportunity to attend a special series of Neighborhood Pride events. Neighborhood Pride mobilizes “businesses, community residents and City Services to create a more cohesive and vibrant neighborhood” and provides “tools to empower neighborhood residents to be civically engaged with their community and the City.”

Mark your calendars for the following dates:

  • July 18 – Neighborhood Safety Academy (6-8:00 pm)
  • July 25 – Healthy Habits Wellness Expo (6-8:00 pm)
  • August 1 – Transit Thursday and Mayor’s Community Cookout (5:30-7:30 pm)

In addition to Neighborhood Pride events, NWCA is sponsoring National Night Out (NNO) for the first time. NNO is an annual event that focuses on crime prevention and developing good community-police relations and neighborhood camaraderie. This is a FREE family-friendly event that will take place on the grounds of Atonement Lutheran Church, 1621 Francisco Rd. from 5:30 to 8:30 on Tuesday, August 6th.
