NWCA promotes a positive quality of life, attractive and safe neighborhoods, and a strong economy in Northwest Columbus.
NWCA Activities
The NWCA board of trustees reviews graphics and zoning applications and makes recommendations to the City of Columbus.
All members help the city resolve code violations, such as:
- Illegal signs and structures
- Unkempt lots
- abandoned or illegally parked cars
- unlicensed businesses in residential neighborhoods
NWCA helps set and enforce development standards that prevent poorly planned or unattractive developments and commercial graphics, such as:
- Northwest Plan
- Bethel Road Standards
- Sawmill Corridor Development Standards
- Olentangy Corridor Study
NWCA advocates for street improvement, street lights, and sidewalks. NWCA supports local schools, promotes neighborhood beautification, and works to improve local parks.
NWCA works with the OSU Airport to address how it impacts the surrounding community.
